New Tribe: Age Play Among Women

Hoping you'll join or spread the word.

Thanks, GalaxyGirl

Age Play Between Women Tribe: This tribe is intended to be a place to discuss age play between and among women. In this context, age play refers to the exploration of affectional and/or sexual relationships between women who are in real life of the age of consent but who wish to role play relationships or interactions in which there is an age differential, such as mother/daugher, aunt/niece, baby sitter/girl, teacher/student, coach/player, etc. This tribe does not concern pedophilia, as all discussions are assumed to concern real life adults. Since there are other tribes that littles can join as littles, the moderator intends this tribe to be a place for adult discussion of age play.

Pomosexuality and the Death of the Label

BECAUSE LABELS ARE FOR CLOTHING... NOT PEOPLE.

Pomosexuality (short for postmodern sexuality) refers to a nonorientation in which people disregard sexual labels altogether. While it is convenient to sort everyone into a handful of different groups - homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual - pomosexuality argues that not only can these words and categories not do justice to the complexity of human sexuality, but are also grand illusions socially constructed to maintain a state of separateness between people. Like most other things in life, sexual orientation and/or gender identity isn't a black and white, either/or experience for many of us. More appropriately, it is best described as a fluid and incalculably unique journey that is beyond definition. Pomosexuality literally means anything you want it to mean. It means anything goes. And it represents an end to all the confusion, oppression, fear, and restraint that comes with trying to identify with a restrictive label.
Join the new social network that is introducing the concept of pomosexuality to the masses, revolutionizing the way the world views sexuality and gender. http://wWw.POMOWORLD.com

I read through that last gigantic thread. While I agree that much of it (especially down near the bottom) wasn't appropriate for this list, I question those who questioned most of it.

Shouldn't we be able to discuss anything on this list that pertains to female-female relationships?

This isn't strictly a hookup tribe, is it? For I would be sad if it were. We are tribe in and amongst ourselves. Why should we limit what we talk about?

RIP Benazir Bhutto

What a lovely, strong, courageous, peaceful woman. May her legacy live on and make the world a better place for peace, for women everywhere. My heart broke with I found out this morning. :-(

Pakistan's Bhutto assassinated
Attack jeopardizes elections, path to democracy in nuclear-armed nation

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - Enraged crowds rioted across Pakistan and hopes for democracy hung by a thread after Benazir Bhutto was gunned down as she waved to supporters from the sunroof of her armored vehicle.

The death of President Pervez Musharraf's most powerful opponent threw the nation into chaos just 12 days before elections and threatened its already unsteady role as a key fighter against Islamic terror.

The murder of Bhutto, one of Pakistan's most famous and enduring politicians, sparked violence that killed at least nine people and plunged efforts to restore democracy to this nuclear-armed U.S. ally into turmoil.

Another opposition politician, Nawaz Sharif, announced he was boycotting Jan. 8 parliamentary elections in which Bhutto was hoping to recapture the premiership, and Musharraf reportedly weighed canceling the poll.

In Islamabad and Washington, U.S. diplomats urged that the elections should not be postponed and strongly advised against a reimposition of emergency rule that Musharraf had lifted just weeks ago.

Bhutto, a former prime minister, was struck down amid scenes of blood and chaos as an unknown gunman opened fire and, according to witnesses and police, blew himself up, killing 20 other people.

Musharraf blamed Islamic terrorists, pledging in a nationally televised speech that "we will not rest until we eliminate these terrorists and root them out."

President Bush, who spoke briefly by phone with Musharraf, looked tense as he spoke to reporters, denouncing the "murderous extremists who are trying to undermine Pakistan's democracy."

Bhutto's death closed yet another grim chapter in Pakistan's bloodstained history, 28 years after her father, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, another ex-prime minister, was hanged by a military dictatorship in the same northern city where she was killed.

Her death left her Pakistan People's Party leaderless and plunged the Muslim nation of 150 million into violence and recriminations, with Musharraf blaming Muslim extremists and Bhutto supporters accusing his government of failing to protect her in the wake of death threats and previous attempts on her life.

As the news of Bhutto's death spread, supporters gathered at the hospital where she had been taken, smashed glass doors, stoned cars and chanted, "Killer, Killer, Musharraf."

At least nine people were killed in the violence across the nation.

Musharraf called senior staff into an emergency meeting to discuss a response to the killing and whether to postpone the election, an Interior Ministry official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks. Musharraf also announced three days of mourning for Bhutto, with all businesses, schools and banks to close.

The killing appeared to shut off a possible avenue for a credible return to democracy after eight years under Musharraf's increasingly unpopular rule, and left a string of unanswered questions, chiefly whether it could strengthen Musharraf by eliminating a strong rival, or weaken him by sparking uncontrollable riots.

The U.S. was struggling to reformulate its plan to stabilize the country based on a rapprochement between Bhutto and Musharraf. Bhutto had returned in October after nearly a decade in exile hoping for a power-sharing deal with Musharraf, but had become his fierce critic, accusing elements in the ruling party of backing militants to kill her.

Pakistani analysts see gloom
"This assassination is the most serious setback for democracy in Pakistan," said Rasul Baksh Rais, a political scientist at Lahore's University of Management Sciences. "It shows extremists are powerful enough to disrupt the democratic process."

Analyst Talat Masood, a retired general, said: "Conditions in the country have reached a point where it is too dangerous for political parties to operate."

Sharif, another former premier who now leads an opposition party, demanded Musharraf resign immediately and announced his party would boycott the elections, seen as vital to restoring democracy after eight years of authoritarian rule under Musharraf. Sharif also called for the resignation of Musharraf, a former army chief who toppled Sharif in a 1999 coup.

"Musharraf is the cause of all the problems. The federation of Pakistan cannot remain intact in the presence of President Musharraf," he said.

Next to Musharraf, Bhutto, 54, was the best known political figure in the country, serving two terms as prime minister between 1988 and 1996. An instantly recognizable figure with graceful features under an ever-present head scarf, she bore the legacy of her hanged father and was respected in the West for her liberal outlook and determination to combat Islamic extremism.

It was a theme she had often returned to in recent campaign speeches.

Addressing more than 5,000 supporters Thursday in Rawalpindi, a garrison city and former capital, Bhutto dismissed the notion that Pakistan needed foreigners to help it quell resurgent militants linked to the Taliban and al Qaida in the area bordering Afghanistan.

"Why should foreign troops come in? We can take care of this, I can take care of this, you can take care of this," she said.

Bhutto official watches terror unfold
As Bhutto left the rally in a white SUV, youths chanted her name and supportive slogans, said Sardar Qamar Hayyat, an official from Bhutto's party who was about 10 yards away.

Despite the danger of physical exposure, a smiling Bhutto stuck her head out of the sunroof and responded, he said.

"Then I saw a thin young man jumping toward her vehicle from the back and opening fire. Moments later, I saw her speeding vehicle going away. That was the time when I heard a blast and fell down," he said.

Bhutto was rushed into surgery. A doctor on the surgical team said a bullet in the back of her neck damaged her spinal cord before exiting from the side of her head. Another bullet pierced the back of her shoulder and came out through her chest, he said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media. She was given an open-heart massage, but the spinal-cord damage was too great, he said.

"At 6:16 p.m. she expired," said Wasif Ali Khan, a member of Bhutto's party who was at Rawalpindi General Hospital.

Hours later, supporters carried Bhutto's body out of the hospital in a plain wooden coffin and sent it for burial in her ancestral home near the southern city of Larkana.

Bhutto, who was married with three children, had returned to Pakistan from nearly a decade in exile on Oct. 18, and her homecoming parade in Karachi was also targeted by a suicide attacker, who killed more than 140 people. She narrowly escaped injury.

Rawalpindi, a garrison city and former capital, has a history of political violence. The park where Bhutto made her last speech is the same one where the country's first prime minister, Liaquat Ali Khan, was shot to death in 1951. It is named after him.

President Pervez Musharraf survived two bombing attacks in Rawalpindi in 2003. Earlier that year, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, was captured in Rawalpindi. In recent weeks, suicide bombers have repeatedly targeted security forces in Rawalpindi.

Bhutto's father was hanged in 1979 in Rawalpindi on charges of conspiracy to murder — an execution that led to violent protests across the country similar to those that raged across the country Thursday.

Hopes dashed for democracy
Thursday's rally was Bhutto's first since returning to Pakistan, Musharraf having forced her to scrap a previous meeting here last month citing security fears. Hundreds of riot police manned security checkpoints at the park.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who met with Bhutto just hours before her death, called her a brave woman with a clear vision "for her own country, for Afghanistan and for the region — a vision of democracy and prosperity and peace."

Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., visiting Pakistan with Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said he was just leaving his hotel room for dinner with Bhutto at her home when he got the news.

"I couldn't believe it," he told The Associated Press by phone. "Her death really dashed the hope of many here in Pakistan, and that's why there's so much disillusionment and anger being vented through these protests that are lighting up the sky tonight as people set fires all over the countryside."

One man was killed in a shootout between police and protesters in Tando Allahyar, a town 120 miles north of Karachi, Pakistan's commercial hub, said Mayor Kanwar Naveed. Four others were killed in Karachi, two were killed elsewhere in the southern Sindh province and two in Lahore, police said.

Karachi shopkeepers quickly shuttered their stores as protesters burned vehicles, a gas station and tires on the roads, said Fayyaz Leghri, a local police official. Gunmen shot and wounded two police officers, he said.

Bhutto's supporters in many towns burned banks, shops and state-run grocery stores. Some torched ruling party election offices, according to Pakistani media.

Authorities would deploy troops to stop violence if needed, said Akhtar Zamin, home minister for Sindh province.

The U.N. Security Council vigorously denounced the killing and urged "all Pakistanis to exercise restraint and maintain stability in the country."

Seeking queer triads for research!

My name is Sunny. I am a graduate student in the Sexuality Studies program at San Francisco State University. I am conducting research on polyamory. The aim of my study is to explore how individuals in queer polyamorous triads discuss love in their relationships. I am in search of individuals in queer, long-term (one year or longer), polyamorous triads to interview. Individuals must identify themselves and their relationships as queer, and the triads must be three people who are all sexually and romantically involved with one another.

Participating in this study will entail a 45-90 minute one-on-one interview at a comfortable and private location convenient for both of us to discuss your experiences and feelings of love while in a triad.

If you are currently in a queer, long-term (one year or longer), triad relationship and are interested in participating in the study, please contact me!

smnordmarken@yahoo.com
(415) 516-0908

I am currently seeking people to interview! Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to participate.

Thank you!

Do lesbians share more intimacy than hetero couples?

I just got done with a relationship with a man where he was so affraid of intimacy. I have never had a relationship with a women but I imagine it would be quite intense intimacy wise. Do you think Lesbians have more intimacy ( emotional, spiritual, etc.. ) than hetero couples or does it just depend on the person?.
Of course it dependends on the person but in my relationships with women the desire for intimacy seems greater.
Or maybe it's with age we drop some of the ego that makes intimacy hard.
Anyway , your thoughts are appriciated.

Do you have a look in a girl that makes you purr? I'm watching America's Top Model on right now, it's a new season, and there's one that is hot, hot, hot. Egads, I love thin women with gorgeous faces and short hair. This one is blonde. I had to laugh, another one was giving her a hard time, this Russian chick, and said she looked "masculine." Masculine, my ass. That girl is so fine!

ok so I'm bi. people automatically assume.
1. that I'll do it with just about anyone
2. that that means that I automatically want to have a three way with them and their woman/man
3. that I'm poly
4. that I'm bi to get attention from guys

does anyone else have these problems with other people's stereotypes of bi?
and if you tell a guy you're lez you ever have them try to challange it? like some cock who says "I'll MAKE her like dick!"

What do you think?

Hi, I'm fairly new here and have been enjoying the threads.

I decided to post this topic because of a recent conversation with some friends of mine who are lesbian.

They stated that they feel that they should still be considered lesbian even if they "like occasional dick" (I'm quoting their exact words). They all know I'm bi and I couldn't help laughing and saying "OH, so you're bi but not willing to admit it, eh?" And they all insisted (quite spiritedly I might add) that they can be "lesbian identified" and still have casual sex with men every now and again.

What do you think? Are they actually closet bi girls or is there really such a thing as lesbians who enjoy sex with men once in a while?

a suggestion : to replace 'bi'

as, I've loved many of both genders, and would espouse a third, the 2 spirit ... my preference has always been 'selectively sexual' ...

i think that gives me enough room to try what I like and be open to what I might, like (currently, happily involved with a woman who's a 2spirit, two+ years )

thinking we could cause our own label revolution! who's game? Eileen

(I've been lurking for awhile, trying to name and reconcile, my 'bent' but, am looking to 'show up,' now)

Lesbian to bi

If you are a woman, in a long term committed (not open) relationship with another woman, and have been identifying as lesbian - why would you start identifying as bi-sexual?

To me, this implies you are experiencing desire for men. I have several friends who identify as bi while they are with a man, then when they break up, identify as lesbian... then later go back to being bi.

I personally don't understand changing status depending on what relationship you are in. Before I had my first relationship with a woman, I identifed as bi. However, after dating both sexes, I came to the realization that I'm lesbian. I can find a man attractive and beautiful but have no desire to get involved with one.

What are your thoughts?

Taking Control of My Life (christianity and sexuality)

So this year is the year that I've decided to take control of my life and get out there and learn and experience all that I have been curious about all these many years (41 if you really must know), and part of my quest was religion and sexualtiy. I joined a christian church (and as a total liberal, it has been quite difficult for me, but it has all been about my relationship with God, not with the churchs view points, which are SO different from mine, but oh well). The second part was finally getting the nerve up to put to rest my curiosity about being with another woman, so I put up an add on craigslist (really didn't know where else to start to tell you the truth) and after sorting through all the nonsense that was emailed to me ("no thank you, I don't want to join your husband/boyfriend and you") . I found someone like me that wants to take it slow and easy, become friends first and then see what developes between us. I guess my problem is that even though I'm very liberal, I was raised "lapse-catholic", and Latina to boot, I'm wondering if and/or when the time comes to "put-up or shut-up" whether I will go through with it. Any insights will be appareciated (and please, if you are a "hater" or just want to rant and rave about straight women wanting to be with another woman because its a "fad", please don't respond to this post, as I am totally not there, too old to be chasing any "fad"s, ya know?).

Thanks!

nothing lasts forever...are couples doomed?

does anyone here know any homosexuals that have been together for life? really. i mean die together...in that they have been together for more than 15 years, happily. with regular sex. are we doomed to never last forever. i have learned that nothing lasts forever. we all change and we can't stop change. not in a bad way at all. in a sense we spend soo much energy on keeping what we think we want when we dont truely do what we want. we get tempted and we dont do anything about it. so what happens is we become someone different then we break up with whomever we are with and date their best friend because there really aren't enough lesbians on our same wave length. both my bros are gay and one has been in a relationship for over 7 years. good luck to them i love them both. but. do they have an open relationship? for obvious reasons i do not want to ask, but i figure you would have to find it somewhere else? but i would like to know who is still together. i dont know many. women get bored. we are totally fine "just hanging out"...if our gay community is going to get bigger are we going to evolve into a society that doesn't stay together longer than five years? maybe ten? is this our future? i am a true believer in love and staying together as i have had my dreams since i was little. i am just curious. and women out there...you know what its like do you not? do you get bored too easily? what is that about?

Meeting girls in LA. *crosspost*

So, I'm on the alternative side.. not your stereotypical "L word" LA lesbian... I'm overweight (but well proportioned) AND tattooed, pierced and love to play dress up.

I have a hard time meeting girls in general... for love or friendship.

I have resorted to craigslist... which is a crapshoot in general. I've gotten a lot of responses from Craigslist - but the girls seem to mis-represent themselves, OR they say they are cute and aren't...

It seems like all of these discussion lists are dead ends... Conversations are few and far between.

What is it about that? Is this an all over the place sort of issue? Or is it specific to LA?

I know that this seems to be a common problem - Gay/Straight/Bi... in most communities...

I'd love to hear everyone's experiences... what they have done what they are doing?

*crosspost - I want to see which list gets the most responses, if any.*

*breathe*

Ok, I don't want to step on anyone's toes here but I am really frustrated with something.

So I am on a very popular website that is quiet often used for introduction purposes. I have clearly stated several times in my profile that I am a lesbian and I am only looking for other lesbians. I also state that I am on no way looking for men for men/women couples or ANY sexual encounter. However, I get about 10-20 inquires a day from women saying "I am bi and I love women and am looking for a playmate for me and my husband" I am not saying this type of arrangement is bad, but I am not into it. I am a LESBIAN!!!!! Why the hell would I want to fuck your husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GGRRRRRR!

I work at my school's gym, and when i get out of school I will be at a healthclub setting....
and I live in the midwest
so you can see how me comming out at work would be difficult (locker room, showers etc)
I don't want women to be afraid that I'm hitting on them or checking them out you know?
especially in this setting where people are already very self concious.
but then I sort of feel like a hipocrite that i'm not open about it. I know my sexuaity shouldn't come into play in the workplace, but damnit I AM around a lot of cute girls and it would be nice if I could let them know I was interested LOL
~frustration~
I guess I'd just have to be extra friendly, make friends and test the waters before asking one out. or hope one of them has the balls to ask ME out..I think it would be more professional that way, than to just come out

on a side note, lately while I'm awake I've been attracted to nothing but women, everywhere I go I see a hottie and bite my lower lip! but then when I'm assleep I have these erotic dreams about men...not that this bothers me, I just think it's odd....
anyone else have a similar experience?

So, I've noticed a lot of release here, a lot of expression regarding how we feel about stigmas and stupid stereotypes and assumptions that people make about girls who have the exquisite privilege of loving other girls. And I think it's wonderful, just wonderful that we have a space in which to do this. But I just wanted to offer this thread as a place to fill up again, a place where we can find all the space we've made inside of ourselves, where we were carrying around all this negativity that we've just dumped and fill it in with love, acceptance, and the supreme happiness of being who we are. Anyone that wants to join me in doing this is more than welcome. :-)

I might just take advantage this.

Hello, i am a newbie to tribe (as you can see i only have ONE friend) and have decided to take advantage of it to try and........well........pick up chicks. just kidding. no really. dont leave!! okay okay, heres the deal.
i currently live in seattle, and im thinking, im cool, im relativly cute, i sound like a desperate 40-year-old balding man, but HEY. im not above or below this dating thing, damn it! my relationship history is simple. two women....both of whom were in their 30's, and coincidentally, were pretty F---ed up in the head. theatrics notwithstanding, im dont with that.
did i mention im 19? yeah, a lot of you just clicked the back-button i bet.

im at this strange phase in my life where im finally making it my own....im feeling the effects of losing my innocence signifigantly.....im pondering questions and answers to a LOT of lifes questions, as usual, only in MORE intensity.....and my sex drive has been going utterly crazy.....i cant really make heads or tails of it. so of course i think that a nice, steady relationship with someone who cares about me, genuinly, might do me some good.

one thing to note is that i am a pretty intense person/friend/lover. i am very headstrong, outspoken, and trustworthy. that i know for a fact. im extremly compassionate to my fellow human beings, however im not okay with being walked all over. i think i have that boundary pretty well established in myself.

another thing can be described in one word: comedy. i am very much into laughing and making people laugh. there is NOWHERE NEAR enough laughter in the world, and i do my best to offer the planet as much as i can every day without being all too overbearing (which sometimes fails, but who the hell cares??)

so what am i doing here? am i trying to sell myself? am i trying to tell you all what im looking for? kida both actually. but know this: if you are at all interested on connecting with me on any level whatsoever, please dont hesatate to offer your two cent. or four. or fourteen. im more than happy to connect. its what i do. fostering intellectual conversation is a good thing. but then again, so is south park. and everything that has to do with england. :-p

thanks for reading, and dont forget to dance. a LOT.
-Cerial

Ok, advice time! Please tell me what you would do in this case.
It's something that happened to me but I wasn't smart enough to do anything about it.

This beautiful woman approaches you in the dressing rooms of a fashion store.
She tells you she watched you come in with a friend and liked you. You don't get it. She repeats it a second time.
You like her but you're not sure what to say. You help her pick the jacket that looks best on her. She's preparing to leave.
What would you say or do next?????

your happy medium

Hey!
Wondering what people's thoughts are on their preferred medium to meeting cool girls: online, through
friends only, chance meetings in person???
I find that I've had the most success with girls that I met in person with first
(not necessarily through a friend connection), then built a platonic
friendship with and then went to something more. But this is very rare, perhaps occuring once every couple
of years and then it took a couple of years to get to that point.
I'm relatively new to this online thing, but haven't had luck with the craigslist. Wondering
if anyone has some online success stories in terms of finding a cool girl for more than just a one night stand??

A wild rant on Butch Femme and Beauty~

Dear Goddesses~~~ONE and ALL
I apologise in advance for grammer,spelling and over simplified, sugar sweet,positive viewpoints~
This wild yet passionate rant is in response to the many views of what may constitute a woman as a FEMME women?I guess it reminds me of a debate going online in a lesbian site chat room as to what constiutes a beautiful woman?I feel the same is true at time in these queastions or arguements as a disgussion.I was so frustrated I wrote a poem and posted it to over 20,000 people to remind women what they might be forgetting in this disgussion...Poetry is my little soapbox to share,,,lust,love,seduction,pain and hopefully in the best of times,,joy,growth and a shift ??
A shift to a more open , hearfelt view,,when things seem small....
From this loving libra who just want the whole world to livelovelaughlearn........
Here goes!!
Yes we as humans love to classify and stereotype ,catagorise and analize every single thing.It is our logic,our brain and our heart of instinct.Yet that view changes as time passes,as do we as people,women,spirits.
For example I may seem or appear as Femme as can be .So affectionate,bubbly,sensitive nuturing and so feminine in all beauty aspects..Allways in dresses,social butterfly,hostess w/mostess....Yet are theses things female really ,?Beside the dresses?Yet I feel as a balanced human,I need to explore sopposed (male )aspects of my personality.Or are they.Mabey just a balance to my full spectrum....Are they butchish or just behaviour that I adopt as a strong,confidant focused female?Are we not a complex ,multi faceted,full spectrum being ?Capable of many emotions,styles,textures and abitities,, to be and become,,anything?Many things at one time?We are capable of so much?We as females are truly so exceptional from our physiology ,anatomy,brain,beauty,stregnth....Must we fit into ny specific mold?Do we need to want to limit ourselves or eachother by these catagories only?
Are we not as women,,the most amazing beautiful creatures not only for our style or physical beauty but our generousity,a willingness to hold ,love,heal,give until it hurts??Fall down and die emotionally and get up to love with a whole heart again??Nomater the age or size or sopposed beauty or butch/femme type,, are not those the things we charish most in ourselves and the women we love?
I believe I feel love or see beauty in the people I hold dear because of how I love them for other qualities..This is why they also shine with beauty to me,,,How they love,,how we love .How it feels to look into this friend or lovers eyes and feel my soul so connected to theirs,,we both might cry.How she may put the car seat in the comfy place when she wants me to drive.When,,,I wake up from a nap ,,with her eyes on me so filled with love ,in the thows of passion or aross the grocerie store vegatable display...,When she brings me fresh ginger even though I ran out of it and never said it,,she just noticed ,,even though,,she doesnt eat ginger....it feels like a dream.When in the middle of the day she kissed your neck lightly and whispers you are my lifes dessert..
All the love I recieve I try to give back,ten times more, as I can,,without expectation or condition.I feel the beauty of knowing the energy goes on,passing through all of us to the world.Like prayer,,loving,compassionate and generous hearts,uniting us all..
The poems I write are about are these moments in life.The best of women I have been blessed to know and the very best of myself.I write about everything I hope to embody and give in life.Whether I have experienced it or simply wish to be the very best I can be as a woman...I might be oversimplifying a diffuclt issue for some.I hope you who read this ,see,I am just throwing out a view....It works for me,,right now...
Sometimes yes it may be sexy as hell when she straps those big black steel toed Boots on..Hiding her sexy self in tight jeans,Or is it the thigh high stillettos?Or the vitamins she bought you at the health store?Or when she brings you a her sweater on a cold morning.Or when she works on the car?OR when she cooks you cream puffs...Or when she paints her toes naked on the bed with rollers in her hair??Are these things male or female,butch of femme?Does it matter?They somtimes may be the things that do attract us ,or flip our sensual switch like no other.They are still not the reasons we love..They are just other details about whom we love.Not the whole....A small detail compared to love...
Are we a little differerant,yes,,Arent we all???I rejoice in the differances and revel in the things wet each eachother from this fact.
We are women,beautiful amazing females all.Capable of everything and anything we wish!To be and explore as we so desire.

I think at times the outer look ,the shape of things,in our society can be dwelled apon far too much.Even though,I work in the feild of beauty as an artist!!I strive to fid the balance on seeing TRUE beauty.We can loose site of our intention.The classification and analazation has become a somtimes rigid way we describe and limit ourselves in a way we may never have intended,,simply to explain and describe who we are,what we like...What we want...
I am learning myself in this way.Extreme growth and change in the last 2 years,has been a gift ,,yet difficult..Enlightening to be sure..On what are the words to describe me?Do I fit a type?Do I need to?
What has helped me ,is to see the beauty in all people,whatever the context.Is the look for the strength,the beauty inside of all people.Each person,thier journey,seperate path and the willpower we all must have to go on in our own unique way.Survive and learn from life,doing the very best we can.That is beautiful and we all do this in a differant way..We are spectacular creatures ,one and all.
As a maiden of Goddess worship and the spiritual focus on enlightenment through feminine energy of the earth,nature and the mother of all,,,,,,,,,
,I see all women as powerful,beautiful,transendant creatures....
The beauty we see in others we share and grow from within.
It is compassion to see the strength within the weakness.In ouselves and in all.
The light within the dark.
The sweet within the sour.
To look for balance in ourselfes first,blessing others with the wish they find the same.
Beauty and balance surface and within.Living and loving ,above and below!
Is any of this Butch or Femme?Bi-sexual/lesbian?
Yes we will allways analize and ,catagorise and I will suffer to find balance with my heart as well as my curious intectual mind to listen to my heart,remember what is important.
See what is beautiful,inside and out....

Thanks for reading,suffering my spelling and opening your heart.
Blessed be all.
Livelovelaughlearn
Luna

~~~~~~~~~She~~~~~~~~~
She is an angel I do adore,her spirit ,body and mind.
She is a woman I appreciate,loving,unique and kind.
She is genuine to her center,she gives love to all she knows.
She is a female Goddess incarnate for whom my love still grows.
She shares deeply with her friends,inside open loving arms.
She treasures her beloved,with her sweet infectious charm.
She speaks from her heart ,with intention to cause no harm.
She notices the light in life, where others may see dark.
She listens to all others,a reseptive ear she allways gives.
She holds her self to integrity ,with wich she strives to live.
She has suffered injustice,yet turned experience into strength.
She is a gentle whisper or deafening truth without length.
She shares sweet compassion, as she gives her heart to love.
She a dearest gift of our Goddess ,as below so now above.
She is beautiful and spectacular,sensual and dear her youth.
She has the best intentions each day, of all the Goddess truth.
She is dark as the turbulent sea,or as light as a ray of sun.
She is as she needs to be,as life calls her she does not run.
I see patience in her ways,contemplation in her quiet.
I see fire in her eyes and the passion driven pilot.
She is an amazing Goddess,in every breath she takes.
She is the ultimate maiden beauty,fertility and grace.
I see her inner balance,she searches for each day.
I respect her in all things,her loving sister ways.
Blessed are her friends,she is a sister sweet for whom I Pray.
She be a constant in my life ,forever ,allways and today.
For a long time. Even back when I was teen, it was lovely Ana I watched as we were marching across the field for band practice... me with my flute, her with her clarinet. So close, so close and yet so far.
Recently I found out what it is like to be with a woman and I never want to go back. But he is a good guy. She is sweet. He supports me financially, she understands why I cry. He is a loving father to our children, she is good to hers. So where to go from here? I can't imagine not loving a woman ever again. I just can't.
I'm new to this tribe, so please forgive me if this is a topic that has been discussed before and people don't want to rehash it. I was just wondering what people feel are the differences between being a man versus being with a woman. I got into this discussion with my rooommate the other night (who is very straight) about how I feel like I get completely different things from the two.
The ancient Greeks believed that the male/male union was the holiest union possible and that's pretty much how I feel about being with women. To generalize a bit, what I told my roommate was, when I'm with a woman, I feel like I'm worshiping, when I'm with a guy, I feel like I'm performing. Does anyone else feel this way or someway similar? Or someway different? Either way, I'd love to hear it.
NYC Ladies Night
I'm not sure where to post this, so please don't yell at me if this is in the wrong area.
I was wondering if (at least) some of the ladies here in and around NYC would like to get together for a ladies' night out sometime. Single, in a relationship, it doesn't matter - just getting together and having a good time in a non-judgemental, open and supportive group. I was going to put this in the events area, but since I don't have a date for it, I didn't think I could. Of course, if people want to do this, we can pick a date and move it over there so we don't clog up the topics area with a geographically centered discussion. Hope to hear and meet some of you.
Peace.
...but please be nice about it.
Last weekend this beautiful woman approached me in the dressing rooms of a fashion store.
She told me she watched me come in with my male friend and liked me. I didn't get it. She said it twice.
She was intense, she got my attention. I didn't know what to say. I helped her pick the jacket that looked best on her. I watched her walk out never to see her again, but I felt like something was missing.
I've been straight all my life. Married, a kid. Except now I remember in high school I had this thing going on with this girl. I got HELL for it (that was way before all the gay rights thing.) So I tucked it away, in shame, and forgot.
Now, I don't know what I am anymore. I'm apprehensive but I'm not scared. I want to find out who I really am, make friends.
I invite your comments.
The Meaning of Femme
In a world where stereotypes still rule yet we are expected to defy them all the same, definitions can be difficult to come by. Or rather these definitions are fluid and difficult to pin down. They may not even matter. But I was wondering, what is the meaning of "femme" ? Is femme only one side of a set of opposites--butch/femme? How is it independent? When I envision femme, I envision a female who almost parodies feminitity in her excess. She is costumed and painted. She might look like a greaser's girlfriend, with jet black hair, scarlet lips and 1950s style. Is femme a state of mind/being, or rather, is it an external expression of feminitiy? And how many femmes are attracted to other femmes?
and i've been feeling that way for a while. some girl tells me she thinks i'm interesting, or hot. we chat a bit for a few days and then she flakes, or disappears, or is generally impossible to speak to or see in real time. with all the flaking and putting off the days add up to weeks and the weeks stack into months.
i say "hey, when can we meet? this is what my schedule looks like." "hey, if we can't meet this week, or this month, why don't we talk on the phone meanwhile? get to know each other that way? her
