If you are a woman, in a long term committed (not open) relationship with another woman, and have been identifying as lesbian - why would you start identifying as bi-sexual?
To me, this implies you are experiencing desire for men. I have several friends who identify as bi while they are with a man, then when they break up, identify as lesbian... then later go back to being bi.
I personally don't understand changing status depending on what relationship you are in. Before I had my first relationship with a woman, I identifed as bi. However, after dating both sexes, I came to the realization that I'm lesbian. I can find a man attractive and beautiful but have no desire to get involved with one.

Re: Lesbian to bi

Personally, I see sexuality as fluid and I've been in relationships with both genders but I don't change my indentity with each relationship. When people ask me if I'm lesbian I just say "No, I'm an equal opportunity lover"
Boxes with labels just don't work for me.
